Home and working

I am home and I started work today which was fun. I am pretty much getting PAID TO PLAY which is something I am excited about. Today was spent getting to know all the kids and it was good....I'm sure there will be more to come on this....

My trip home was good and safe but travelling was chaotic at the airports and quite strange. I am still missing a bag but throughly enjoyed my luxurious flights.

For the last couple of days before I left Andy's brother came to visit with his wife and their two children and it was fun to see them again and really great because we got to celebrate Aidans 7th birthday with him.

I am home and it is good but not easy as I just miss Andy so very much. The summer was so wonderful, I really did love every single second.

There are so many things I have missed out on blogging on this summer and to try and catch up now seems impossible. Instead I'm just going to put a few pics from the summer on here and hope they capture something of the summer that can be shared. I really wanted to post some pics of the children I got to care for and just fell in love with this summer and show some of the things we did together

Tofino

Last weekend was one of the best of my life, I loved every single minute of it and thoroughly enjoyed the gift from the LORD that this weekend was. I Loved the (beautiful) drive out, shopping for 'supplies' arriving at the campsite in the dark and realising that Andy really can set up tents and camping equipment with his eyes closed. I loved waking up in the morning to Andy cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast and enjoying them as we spent time in the Word. Like I said I really just enjoyed every minute to the full, enjoying time with the Lord and with Andy and just relaxing and having fun.

Our campsite was in the rainforest, how cool is that!!!!!! The real pacific rainforest. It didn't SOUND much like a rainforest where we were (we have dubbed it the campsite of interesting sounds due to the neibours who plaed the entire Michael Jackson anthology in random order and the strange but loud early morning wake up call. All the same I really liked our little site and the noises just provided entertainment. Here is a pic of me at our site...

and if you looked out the other way from our tents then you saw the ocean...

This is Andy cooking me breakfast IN THE RAINFOREST!!!

We checked out the surf town on Tofino which is the epitome of Hippyness,
we walked round some interesting shops and an art gallery we both really enjoy, then went for a picnic on the beach (played in the water and flew our kites).

After Andy cooked us a steak dinner for supper he announced we were going on an adventure. We went to such a cool place on the coast with a lighthouse and sat and talked and watched the sunset.

I've tried to pick out highlights Andy didn't cover in his blog so check his out to fill in the blanks. It was a great weekend, very fun and such a gift to have time, free from responsibilities, work, essays etc... to relax and enjoy. Andy and I have known eachother for years but I am still discovering more and more I love, respect and admire about him all the time. This weekend (like every day I spend with him) I was very much swept off my feet!!!
