Breathe in, Breathe out
I'm ready to start writing again, I've wanted to for so long! So many blog posts have formulated in my mind, mostly fractured blog posts but posts all the same and they are ready to be breathed out onto paper.
We leave here three weeks tomorrow. Two days later we'll finally get to get our hands dirty (or at least floury) in Wouda's Bakery, and about a week after that we'll move into our new house. It'll be the first time we've CHOSEN where we live, our first time as a couple living near family, our first time as a couple having a Church family (maybe I should say living near our Church family) I think it might be the first time in a long time I'll be able to breathe.
It's hard for me to write that, for the same reason I've not really written anything in the last three years, because I'm scared of hurting others in the small community we live now, that somehow my personal struggles while I've been here or joys about leaving, would be a reflection on others. It's hard to write about life when you don't feel free to.
I changed the address of my blog to my married name, it's still easy to find, it's on my google profile, it comes up if you search me probably, when I comment on others people's posts they'll find me quickly. I'll tell a few people the new address because I REALLY want them to stop by, people I am especially close to, people I miss who know me and care and who's comments I miss reading. People who I hope will use the format to watch Isabelle grow and me grow and share in our joys and frustrations. People who have encouraged me to blog again. Other people are welcome too (as long as you're friendly and not creepy)
We're excited for our big move but there are thing we will be sad to say goodbye to, people especially. Isabelle will miss her very special someone 'Rag-eee' aka Raglan, the son of very dear friends of ours here on the Island. She asks for him every day she doesn't see him, we're going to hear a lot of "Rag-ee, Rag-eeee, RAG-EEEEEEEEE!!!!!" for a while I think. She's also going to mis Karin a lot (or 'Care' as she calls her) and let's face it, we're all going to miss Karin a lot. There are others too.
So watch this space, I'm excited to write more. There are a lot of great bloggers in the Okanagan where we are moving so I am hoping there is something in the lake water there that will get me writing too.
I'm going to end this with some cuteness....some pics of Miss Issi and her favourite friend Ragland (look out for the footsie pic!)
